In the world of web and mobile development, linear career paths are far from the norm. At ECASTE, we've made it a core belief: career changers bring a human richness and motivation that make a real difference in our projects.
Emmanuel Castellani, jury member and talent spotter
For several years, Emmanuel Castellani, founder of ECASTE, has served as a jury member for professional training programs leading to the CDA certification (Application Designer-Developer). He participates notably with GRETA, Simplon school, and the CCI (Chamber of Commerce), where he evaluates learners' technical skills and their ability to lead a development project from start to finish.
This jury role is far from a formality: it's a genuine meeting ground. Emmanuel discovers passionate personalities, inspiring life stories, and above all raw talents who simply need guidance to thrive in the profession.
Atypical profiles, a strength for the team
Marina, a former interior architect, became a web developer specializing in Vue.js and Node.js after retraining through GRETA. Thomas, after a career in a completely different field, joined the ECASTE ecosystem as a web developer and technical support. Tristan Tabouillot, a former PhD in bio-engineering in the United States, chose to retrain in web development through GRETA before joining the ECASTE team, where he put his scientific rigor to work in custom application development.
These journeys are not exceptions: they reflect ECASTE's philosophy. We are convinced that a former interior architect will better understand interface ergonomics, that a bio-engineering PhD will bring exceptional methodology and rigor, and that a person who had the courage to change careers will bring outstanding determination.
Tailored mentorship, not just recruitment
At ECASTE, recruiting a career changer doesn't stop at signing a contract. We set up a genuine integration and skill-building program:
- Technical mentoring: each new talent is paired with an experienced developer who guides them on real projects
- Continuous training: we invest time in training on the technologies we use daily (Vue.js, Node.js, Swift, Kotlin)
- Real projects from day one: no simulations, no fictional projects. New developers immediately work on production applications with appropriate supervision
- Progressive autonomy: we adapt responsibility levels to each person's pace, with regular check-ins to adjust support
Why this commitment?
Emmanuel Castellani himself experienced pivotal moments in his career. After 6 years in various start-ups in Sophia-Antipolis, he founded ECASTE over 16 years ago. He knows what it means to make a professional turn, and he understands the importance of having someone who believes in you at that moment.
"When I'm on a jury, I don't just look at the code. I look at the person, their ability to learn, their motivation. Some of the best developers I've met had never written a line of code three years earlier." — Emmanuel Castellani
